The Directorate is responsible for promoting a coordinated higher education system, ensuring quality higher education and enhancing students’ access to higher education.
WHAT WE DO
Coordinate the development of higher education to attract a knowledge-based society;
Enhance the relevance and responsiveness of higher education to national development goals;
Accredit programmes of higher education institutions;
Audit higher education institutions;
Provide advice on efficient and equitable funding for public higher education;
Oversee the implementation of funding framework for Public Higher Education Institutions.
